• Involvement of local businesses and town team • Promotion of local history by the City of Stirling. Curatorial theme: Our Identity – with a particular focus on quirky elements of Inglewood’s history, for example the ‘pineapple’ area and the connection to the gold rush. Artwork objectives: • Add to the visual identity of Inglewood • Represent and promote interesting elements of the suburb’s history • Enhance the visual amenity of the streetscape • Provide a wayfinding meeting point. Rationale: • The site’s proximity to local businesses and the activity centre increases the potential for public art engagement • The artwork location and typology has the potential to leverage existing town centre activation projects.
