Sunset Veranda 2020 The sunny side of FRINGE WORLD can be found at Scarborough Beach as the Sunset Veranda pop-up venue returns to our shores this summer. If you’re dipping your toes in the warm waters of FRINGE WORLD for the first time, we have you covered! Jam-packed with comedy, music, crafts, cabaret, family shows and more, there’s something for everyone. Sunset Veranda, which runs for the full FRINGE WORLD Festival season from Friday 17 January to Sunday 16 February 2020, has plenty of free and affordable events on offer. Our January highlights include: Tell Mama: The Music of Etta James by Milford Street Shakers School Holiday Kids Program FRINGE WORLD is not just for grown-ups! The Customer Contact Centre receives thousands of phone calls from Stirling residents each week. Staff from the City’s Customer Service team provide answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. Q. The City has written to all local landowners with vacant property to inform them of firebreak requirements. These properties will be inspected by the City’s Community Safety Team during firebreak season (1 December to 31 March) to confirm compliance. Q. If a private party is preferred, the City has a number of community centres available for hire across the community. Q. With the warmer weather arriving, I would like to use the Scarborough Beach Pool. Is it open later in summer? The Scarborough Beach Pool offers longer opening hours during summer.
