Waste update The City would like to thank you for your ongoing commitment to sorting your waste correctly, resulting in 54% of waste diversion from landfill. Our latest audits also show a significant decrease in the contamination of yellow-top recycling bins, reducing the amount of waste we send to landfill.

Collected 16,768 tonnes of green waste through your green-top bin

Collected 22,244 tonnes of recyclables through your yellow-top bin

Diverted 2,082 tonnes of material from landfill via our on-demand skip bin service diverted 54% of waste from landfill

Collected 15,669 mattresses equalling 629 tonnes

Pet Registrations Take advantage of discounted pet registration fees until 31 October. First time 1-year cat registrations are free and dogs that have never been registered before are eligible for 1-year registrations at half-price.
