M Magpies Between August and October each year the City often receives reports of swooping magpies during the spring breeding season. To assist in reducing risk to regular park users, the City installs warning signage in appropriate locations and regularly monitors the activity. The City also encourages residents to wear appropriate protection such as hats and sun glasses and to avoid breeding areas where possible during these months. Museum The Mount Flora Regional Museum is located in Elvire Street, Watermans Bay, and is open Wednesday afternoons between 1.00pm – 4.00pm or at other times by appointment. Multicultural services The City of Stirling is one of the most multicultural local governments in Australia and is proud to have a culturally diverse community. Targeted support is provided to multicultural communities through the Mirrabooka Multicultural Centre, located at Herb Graham Recreation Centre, 38 Ashbury Crescent, Mirrabooka. A dedicated Multicultural Project Officer can offer assistance and function space is available at the centre.
