• Jackadder Lake, Woodlands • Dianella Regional Open Space • Yokine Regional Open Space

• Stirling Civic Gardens • Scarborough Foreshore The use of these playgrounds are free, bookings are not required.

Pest and animal control The City responds to complaints regarding the keeping of animals and reports of pests such as vermin, flies, mosquitoes and European Wasps within public property. However, there are no registered chemicals for treatment of lakes and wetlands to address complaints relating to midges. For more information, visit the City’s website or contact the Customer Contact Centre. Alternatively, please contact the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development – Agriculture and Food via email on enquiries @dpird.wa.gov.au or 1300 374 731. Common animal pests in conservation reserves include rabbits, foxes and feral cats. Rabbits graze on emerging native plants and can, over time, affect coastal dunes rendering these areas susceptible to erosion. Foxes and feral cats prey on native fauna in bushland and waterbirds in lake and wetland areas. The City undertakes rabbit baiting and fox trapping each summer in an attempt to contain population numbers and to reduce impacts on natural ecosystems.
