Private swimming pool and spa inspections State government legislation requires all private swimming pools and spas containing water more than 300mm deep, to have a compliant barrier installed, restricting access by young children to the pool and its immediate surrounds. It is a requirement for the City to inspect the area at least every four years to ensure compliance is met. A fee for this service is reflected in the annual rates notice for each property with a registered pool and spa.
